One Thought Note #23 :: So Happy You Love Your Announcements

In hopes of inspiring more handwritten notes, I occasionally share the notes I write {and the easy 3-part recipe} behind each note. As long as you build your note around one thought + keep it light, handwritten notes are a snap to send! The ensuing praise? Amazing to receive.

This note is to a client who loves her RedStamp.com moving announcements + requested a contact card to file away in her paper rolodex. We love sending notes, but keep in mind the general sentiment could be used for any business situation. {Sending personal notes is GREAT for building customer loyalty. Plus, it’s a nice thing to do!}

1. Revisit what prompted the note :: Happy customer who wants contact information
2. Re-live a favorite part of the exchange :: Her lovely announcement + her impeccible taste
3. Reveal what comes next :: Enjoying her lovely home + contacting us as needed

otn_erin_alta

Dear Alta,

So very happy to hear you love your moving announcements. You selected a lovely design — such great taste. Per your request, I am enclosing a card. Please let me/us know if we can be of any further assistance. Enjoy your lovely new home!

One Thought Note #22 :: Reconnect. It’s Worth It!

Today’s OTN was written by Renee…Because she wanted everyone to know it was a lot easier than she thought to pick up the phone + schedule lunch with someone she hasn’t seen in a long, long time. {Always rewarding!}

1. Revisit what prompted the note :: Haven’t seen you in a year!
2. Re-live a favorite part of the exchange :: You are a wealth of good advice!
3. Reveal what comes next :: Next time lunch is on me!

Hey Troy,

It was so great seeing you last week. We need to get together more often! You’re always a wealth of good advice and connections. Next time lunch is on me! Talk again soon.

Boost Office Morale in 5 Minutes + Treat Yourself While You’re At It!

Dear RedStamp.com,

If you see sticky notes hanging around the office, chances are they were left by me. I just can’t seem to stop using my nifty new mini-noteBLOCKs by Snow & Graham to let you know how modern + stylish the new RedStamp.com graduation invitations, announcements + thank you notes are {Jen + Kara!} or how impressed I am you entered 25 new + fabulous desk items in one day {Laura!} or how happy it makes me we revised our About Us page to reflect who we are in 2009 {Dan!} or how much I am squealing at all the great press we’ve received lately {Lindsay!} Of course, it doesn’t help that these little notes are perfectly petite and oh-so-chic. But even without the encouragement from our good friends at Snow & Graham, I’d look for a way to sing your praises. Because almost every day, you all do something totally amazing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

One Thought Note #21 :: Giving Thanks…to US!

Today’s OTN is a little different. We recently participated in a Lucky Magazine giveaway…Giving away {20} $500 gift certificates to Lucky Magazine readers. While we LOVE making people happy with such an unexpected gift, a major giveaway isn’t easy for a small business. Especially during these times. So when we received this very personal, hand-written thank you note from one of the winners, we were greatly touched. Thank you, Ginger!! We just wanted you to know how much we appreciated your note.

1. Revisit what prompted the note :: Winning the RedStamp.com / Lucky Magazine Giveaway
2. Re-live a favorite part of the exchange :: Sharing the prize with 8 LUCKY friends
3. Reveal what comes next :: Picking the prizes

Happy Earth Day :: Eco-Friendly Plantable Cards That Double As Gifts!

For events that celebrate life + living, there is something so prolific about printing your sentiment on a card that carries on in the form of wildflowers + herbs. Perfect for Spring Celebrations. Like Earth Day {today!}, birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation.

It’s the ultimate in eco-friendly card + gift giving.

Beep Beep, Baby Boy :: Car Inspired Items

Awww….When our fabulous graphic designer Kara brought her sweet little baby boy into the office for a visit, we couldn’t help but snap a few photos. Isn’t he adorable? And his outfit coordinated so well with a couple of our best selling items! {The Red Car Travel Journal is a perfect gift for that little car-loving boy on your list!}

One Thought Note #19 :: Thanks for Easter

One of the many reasons I love my job is the ability to make paper correspondence fun again. For the recipient AND the sender. Handwritten notes are perceived as a lot of work. Unless you start writing One Thought Notes. Mine are usually 3-5ish sentences. Quick thoughts fueled by my morning workout/first cup of glorious coffee.

In hopes of inspiring more handwritten notes, I occasionally share the notes {and the 3-part recipe} behind each note. Here’s my Thank You to dear friends who had us over for Easter Sunday but the general sentiment could apply to any fun get-together.

1. Revisit what prompted the note :: An amazing Easter
2. Re-live a favorite part of the exchange :: Spending time with such close friends. {Oh…and the homemade mac + cheese was amazing, too}
3. Reveal what comes next :: To many more Easters!

dsc_0021

Dear E + T + A + B_I seriously dreamed macaroni + cheese dreams last night. THANK YOU for the amazing brunch. And really, for a perfect afternoon. What a wonderful way to spend the day. Will loves his cape {thank you overachieving Easter Bunny} + we all love that we have such amazing friends. To many more Easters! Erin x

One Thought Note #18 :: Thanks for the Tip

Today’s OTN happened to be about a great Easter activity, but actually could apply to any friendly advice that resulted in a positive outcome. A positive restaurant review, a good book suggestion. Send a handwritten thank you + not only will you make someone’s day, but you’ll instantly secure many more fabulous tips to come!

1. Revisit what prompted the note :: Recommending a really fun Easter activity
2. Re-live a favorite part of the exchange :: Watching all our “bunnies” kick it at the hunt!
3. Reveal what comes next :: To many more Easters

Lindsay_Saturday’s Easter Egg Brunch + Hunt exceeded our expectations. What a find! How cute was it watching our little bunnies giggle + run around the park finding eggs?! Thank you for always being in the know on what to do about town. You add so much richness to our lives! To many more Easters. Erin x
