I think the best gifts are the ones that make people feel good about who they are + appreciated for what they do. And if you can demonstrate how well you know that person…it makes it all the more personal. I never know where I’m going to find the perfect gift, so I’m always on the lookout. My latest inspiration happened while grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. And it was all about my colleague and dear friend, Renee. Why? Because she always has treats + is very good at sharing.
The note can be on anything from a sticky note to an index card to a note card. {Personally, I always keep a tin of Cavallini & Co. postcards on hand for this very reason…they make great gift tags!}

R_Enjoy! And thank you for keeping RedStamp in chocolate. E
School starts around here just after Labor Day, so I’m just starting to gear up for all our close friends’ children’s first day of school. Most of them are still in elementary school, which in my opinion is the perfect age to start sprucing up their standard issue No. 2’s! My top picks for the young + young-at-heart ::
Fuzzy Wuzzy Pencils :: Set of 24 {$9}
Smencil Eco-Friendly Lead + Colored Pencils {$2 / 1 OR $15 – $16 / 10}
Watermelon, Bubblegum + Strawberry Scented Pens {$2.50}

Just returned from a long weekend in the Hamptons. My brother + sister-in-law spend most of their summer weekends there + we love it when we can sneak out to visit them. This is our 4th year going + my favorite part is spending time together outside, catching up over fresh vegetables from the local farm stands + fresh lobster from their local seafood shop. Which is why I am so excited to send them bright, fresh personalized coasters by the talented Tracy Goodwin of Paper & Ink Designs as this year’s hostess gift. At only $35 for 25 personalized coasters, they are a total steal! Great for parties, weekend getaways, new home blessings + everything in between.

As Oprah said on her “Favorite Things” episode, it’s the handwritten note with heartfelt words that is the ultimate gift. And in the January issue of O Magazine, we’re thrilled that she and Gayle both love our very own portrait of a lady on RedStamp.com’s very own custom illustrated stationery by Britt Benjamin. People around the world {literally} are uploading photos to our site for this adorable stationery that features the ones you love the most, including the most important one – you.
As Oprah says, Live Your Best Life – let your loved ones know how much you love them with your own words next to your own adorable picture.
As I was packaging up holiday gifts to send to my nephews who live out of state, I had a brainstorm on how to make any old boring brown cardboard box more festive. {Additional feature: the gift wrap will cover old shipping labels — they’ll never know the box originally came from jcrew.com.} I cut a piece of gift wrap slightly smaller than the top of the box leaving about an inch of the box showing on each side. As the shipping label, I grabbed a piece of paper from the top of my Snow & Graham noteBLOCK and wrote their address + our return address. To complete the package, I covered all of the wrap + the address label with clear packaging tape. Keeps it safe from those “destroy-a-box” machines at the post office.
And what I love most is that this can be done with any wrap, at any time of year… Valentine’s Day, birthdays, new babies, anniversaries, etc.!
