Love Love Love :: Old Fashioned Photo Corners

Summer is about keeping it simple. Easy functionality that yields effortless polish.

We rediscovered how much we love photo corners while shipping out our holiday gift guide. When faced with the design challenge of how to best integrate handwritten notes in a large-ish box, Laura grabbed a canister of photo corners + got busy adhering the notes to the lid of the box so the notes would {a} look nice upon receipt {b} ship intact and {c} allow our recipients to easily find + read the notes we so carefully scripted.

Inspired by the look + functionality + ease, I found myself reaching for the canister the next time I wrapped a gift. Instead of struggling with keeping the card neatly tucked into the ribbon, I love how the card becomes a design element in the finished wrap. {I also love having an alternative to the bow once in a while…great for masculine gifting!}

One Thought Note #29 :: Great {Work} Party!

In hopes of inspiring more handwritten notes, I occasionally share one of the notes I write {and the 3-part checklist} behind each note. Handwritten notes are a snap to send when kept light + focused. The ensuing praise? Amazing.

A little background…My husband’s law firm is a pretty tight knit group. Mostly because they have a lovely Director of Administration who is fantastic at keeping it all together. A couple of times a year, she throws great get-togethers. Just last Friday, we all headed to a funky bowling alley for dinner + disco bowling.
